Wanda SLSC 2026 Constitution

Wanda’s new 2026 Constitution was approved at a Special General meeting on 24 May 2026.

Several key changes and updates from the 2019 Constitution include:

• Retaining and clarifying important financial safeguards
• Clearer membership definitions and voting
• Strengthening constitutional protections and alignment with Surf Life Saving and legislative requirements
• Changes to Board composition
• Strengthened committee structures
• Clarification and enhancement of a range of governance, operational, and transitional provisions

This Constitution is supported by the Board approved 2026 By-laws.

As background: Members engaged in a member information session, provided written submissions, shared informal feedback, and participated in direct conversations with members of the Constitution Committee and Board. Every submission and item of feedback was reviewed and carefully considered in the development of the 2026 Constitution.

In addition, the Committee developed a comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, containing 50 FAQs. This document reflects the key themes, questions, and suggestions raised by members during consultation, together with responses and explanations.
