Key Updates for 2025/26 Skills Maintenance & Proficiencies 

New for 2025/26: Lifesaving CPR is now included in the practical component for Bronze Medallion, SRC, and Resuscitation awards. Sessions will run longer than the usual one-hour format, so please allow extra time.

All SRC and Bronze members MUST complete their upgrade by 31 December 2025 to remain eligible for patrolling, water safety, upskilling, and competition. We appreciate your patience and ask that you begin the online components as soon as possible.

GENERAL PROFICIENCY INFORMATION/INSTRUCTIONS

Members with awards are required to keep their award proficient to comply with SLSA policies and members with an SRC/Bronze in particular are to do their proficiency before the 31st of December each year.

We have transitioned to an online platform allowing members to enrol in a Proficiency session via the members HUB. The online component of the SRC/Bronze proficiency must be completed before the 31st of December each year.
