GEORGE BASS MARATHON
Wanda had 2 crews this year compete in the 44th annual George Bass Marathon – The Wanda Vets and the Wanda Super Vets.
Both teams had a brilliant 2 days of rowing with the Wanda Vets taking out 1st place on Day 1 Batemans Bay to Moruya (31kms) and backing up again to win 1st place on Day 2 Moruya to Tuross (19km).
The Super Vets in their debut at the GBM rowed into 5th place on day 1 and held their position against crews that have raced in the GBM many times, well done!
Sadly the GBM was cancelled after day 2 due to the South Coast Fires. All crews made it home safely and we thank the RFS for their service and keeping our members and their families safe. Looking forward to 22/23 event.
